I found myself putting aside my rule not to swear in front of my kids when I found for the 2nd time in 4 days that my taped reply of the ToC had the end chopped off. I am beginning to think the ToC signed a contract with ESPN to air the stages, but never bothered to look at the details. If I was a sponser who was laying out cash in hopes of TV coverage I would be pretty upset. If you are going to put coverage on when no one is awake, at least have it follow the time schedule.
I keep trying to remind myself that this is there first year and they will do what it takes to indentify issues and make it better every year.

I was down course-marshalling at the TT start on Wednesday, hanging out right behind the start-house where the UCI officials were checkking the TT rigs. It provided a pretty good front-row seat to watch the Simoni show unfold, and from the look of it I'm not sure it was really a marketing stunt; his mechanic was PISSED at the UCI guys.

Little Tommy Danielson's bike was also underweight, but unlike Simoni he showed up more than a minute before his start time, so there was enough time to drop a chain in the down tube before making the start. No delay, no press.
