Sanity Reigns Supreme

Posted on 3 May 2007 by cosmo

I’m sorry, but if it weren’t for Sammy Sanchez, I’d think the world had gone sane for a second. An anti-dope hearing held out in the public eye, so that the accusers have accountability and what not? It’s as if the all the Internet’s fingertips worn hoarse from typing suddenly got through. And lest you think that I’m the only one railing for anti-dope reform, check out this piece – unchecked authority is illegitimate authority.

It’s certainly enough to make Robbie McEwen’s sprint victory at Romandie look routine, especially considering even the Pocket Rocket admits the field is not the strongest in the sprint department. McEwen had been having not such a good Romandie thus far, finishing last in the previous two stages. Seems like the suck got passed to teammate Chris Horner, who I’ll bet really regrets not wearing gloves today. Still, beats getting suspended for something that may or may not have happened 11 years ago.

Horner’s OK, he had lots of bodies to break his fall with.
