Also, the fact that Armstrong seems to have dropped his signature aviator shades makes me wonder whether he’ll play the Hinault card after all.
is it just me, or does all the black Lance kit (and surrounded by all the light colored kit, for that matter) make him seem a bit too much like Darth Vader? Like somehow he’s traded his soul for success and now his clothes are a manifestation of that…
I think it’s more about Armstrong being “his own brand.” As for the particular color choice, he’s always been a bit conservative, preferring dark shorts (etc.) to the new regime of brightly colored lycra bottoms. For once, I’m on his side!
