How The Race Was Won – Santos Tour Down Under 2014

Now Australia can’t say I’ve never done anything for them. The Tour Down Under is definitely an increasingly legit event, well-organized, with challenging, selective courses. But eventually it’s going to have to get a little closer to the rest of the season to really evolve into something more than an Australian Stage Racing Championships. At any rate, enjoy.

Valiant effort by Porte to persuade us he can post up.

Unfortunately, it is common knowledge that due to the coriolis effect, even triathletes can post up in the southern hemisphere.

I absolutely love these “how the race was won” posts. You even managed to make my wife find the Pro Cycling Challenge watchable (which is no small feat).

But why the absolute hate on January UCI races? It can’t simply be because it’s not in March or April right???
