How The Race Was Won – Women’s World Road Championships 2014

(if the above isn’t working, go here)

Installment two of the ongoing collaboration with CyclingTips. A lot of pixels scattered on the lackluster nature of this year’s event and while it could have been more exciting, the at times pedestrian tempo didn’t mean the race was uninteresting—especially not with a late catch and wonderfully chaotic final kick.

Is it better for you if we watch these on CyclingTips? I would assume so.

Either/or. They’re up on CyclingTips for a few hours before they’re up here (kind of natural, given the time difference), but what really matters from a business standpoint is the pre-roll ad, which should appear regardless of where you watch.
If you watch here, I get a few more cents from the Google ads on this page but it’s not a world of difference one way or another. Whichever is easiest to fit into your Internet routine is fine by me.

I always end up watching them more than once anyway. I’ll do both. Keep on, sir. Keep on.

Can’t see the video on the two world championships. Found the other link on the mens race but not on the woman’s. Is there a reason that the video is down but the sound is normal?

Here’s the other link for the women’s race. I can’t think of any reason why the sound but not the video would work. There are a lot of moving parts in online video, so it’s tough to say without sitting at your computer/tablet/phone and being able to poke around.

This perhaps is my favourite htrww — Vos’s mistake and the wily Pauline winning it all, surprising even herself… Best perhaps is the tribute to Jolene in French. Brilliant. That singer is going to be a star.

Am I the only one who thinks that “Vos’ uncharacteristic blunder” of launching too early, which ended up in “all but a lead out for Ferrand-Prevot” was a little bit too “uncharacteristic”?
Maybe it was – perhaps – a lead out for Ferrand-Prevot?
After all, they are Rabobank-Liv teammates for the rest of the year. And you mentioned this strange trade team/school mate thing in the men’s HTRWW.
Sure Vos knew she couldn’t win out the 4 person breakaway, but all 4 of them had a massively larger chance of a podium if they just didn’t let the rest of the bunch catch them.
