How The Race Was Won – Liege-Bastogne-Liege 2018

Posted on 23 April 20184 July 2021 by cosmo

Liege-Bastogne-Liege may be cycling’s oldest race, but I think the event has a certain je ne sais quoi that keeps each new edition fresh. Thanks again Eurosport Cycling for making this happen, and don’t hesitate to click the “no, please help!” link in the upper right especially if you live in France or outside of Europe as you are likely to have issues with the video if you are in these places.

You know it’s an HTRWW instant classic when the words “gargantuan road spliff” makes it into the commentary.

    Great stuff Cosmo.
Cant believe the presence of Alaphilippe was enough to anchor the chasing pack.
Do you beleive the reduction of riders per team has changed the dynamics of the monuments this year? Or conversly, it would have just seen another Quickstep rider in contention?

Best part of the spring classics is the return of HTRWW. Thank you Cosmo! We’ve missed you!

Is the video supposed to be visible in this post? There is no video visible.

There is. Anything you can tell me about how you’re viewing this webpage (device, browser, where you’re watching from, at home, school, work etc) would be helpful in fixing that.

Sorry about the delay in response. I forgot to reply.

I was trying to watch at work at lunch. I’m pretty sure work IT was not allowing the video to appear. It worked fine at home.

Thanks so much for uploading these again every once and a while. You are still the best.

Thank you Cosmo for the installments of HTRWW. Road side splifs, energy bar collusion and pack antics … you should be an intelligence analyst.
