How The Race Was Won – Tour of Flanders 2018

Posted on 2 April 20184 July 2021 by cosmo

Tour of Flanders (or Ronde van Vlaanderen, if you prefer) is the biggest bike race in the country where bike racing is biggest. Weather, tactics, crashes, breaks, attacks—all the action and more in this latest #HTRWW, made possible again by my very good friends at Eurosport Cycling.

I’m playing around with a new embed script, so let me know if you experience any issues.

The video works, but it’s geo-restricted (I’m using VPN to view it). Good work as always, and thanks making the video.

Not available in your country. 🙁

It worked, but only after it asked if I was experiencing problems and clicked on the “yes” link. Worked great from there, though.

Worked great after I allowed flash to run.
So happy you are making these again 🙂 Also I loved the Pedersen counter.

I watched it on danish tv and the commentators just stopped commentating and started shouting at the tv like the rest of us for the last 17 kms 🙂

The 10 second ad at the start is not available in the US, but then the actual video worked fine. (Glad to see these whenever you can do ’em!)

Very sadly geo-restricted. Unlike the one from a couple of weeks ago which played fine. This from New Zealand.

Did you try the link in the upper-right of the video player that says “No, please help”?

Hi Cosmo, I think this video specifically isn’t working. The Eurosport player never pops up and clicking the “help” link doesn’t load the video player. Not sure if something is happening on the back-end as I can get all the other videos to play.
